Council 11780 donates to Vine Maple Place

Why Vine Maple Place?

It has a proven track record in helping homeless single parent families in our immediate and neighboring cities. They have served close to 500 homeless single parent families in a cost effective manner. Their mission is to break the generational cycle of homelessness by offering a comprehensive end to end support, including children tutoring and mentoring, emergency shelter, financial and job skilling workshops, resume writing, work clothes and immediate grocery/household provisions.

Relationship with VMP

A number of parishioners actually volunteer at VMP in various capacities. Parishioners have also participated in their fund raising events and invited others to their Vision of Hope presentations where guests are able to view their work and hear client testimonies.

The Knights collaboration started with cooking for their client families in a Back To School event. Several knights are also active in various roles with VMP. VMP is also the recipient of the Coats to Kids program in prior years.
